Taking Ads too Seriously

Once upon a time, I loved using Google.com.

More than that, I foolishly believed its stated goal of making all the world’s information universally accessible.

Ah the folly of youth.

I guess that sounds better than, “We want to become a monopoly and take over the web.”

I mention this because I remember seeing an old old old business card (?) online once, and I’d love to quote it. However, I have next to zero hope that I could find it again.

Once Google was excellent at finding information. Now, I assume its primary function is to serve ads.

I used to think the people a generation ahead of me made conditions far more difficult for younger people to have any resources. Now I see Gen X doing the exact same thing. I did _not_ see that coming.

What ever happened to principles?

What ever happened to _not_ becoming your parents?
